I want to prevent errors given by browers when distributing software
With a code signing certificate it's possible to sign software before distributing it. The signature identifies the writer of the software and ensures that the software hasn't been altered after it's signed. This prevents browsers from showing an error that the publisher is unknown. Users are able to see who the issuer is and can decide on this whether to trust the issuer or not.
Code signing certificates are suitable for .exe, .ocx, .dll and .cab files, Microsoft Authenticode Signing, Microsoft Office VBA Signing, Adobe Air Signing, Apple OS X Signing and Sun Java Signing. They are not suitable for Driver and kernel signing.
We provide code signing certificates of different brands. The functionality and support of the certificates are the same. There are differences in the insured value.
During the validity of the certificate it's possible to place an unlimited number of signings.
